The Lyric
The end of 2006 rapidly approaches. We've lost some good people, and at least one very bad one. There may be hope for the world after all. We wanted to find a seasonal song that reflected that kind of spirit and this one seems to work very well. The artist has been featured before, and without digging too deeply, we can only find one instance of the lyrics online, but they are there.
And our Mystery Lyrics are:
Last Christmas Eve at the K-Mart store
A white family there, they was dirt poor
Father said, "Kids, pick one toy - no more
Even though we can ill-afford."
When you respond, with the lyric answer or not, we would like everyone to reflect back over the year and tell us what you will always remember the year 2006 for.
Good luck!
